Clean & Clear “See the Real Me” Promotion
Competition Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. The terms and conditions set out below apply to all participants submitting entries for the Clean & Clear “See the Real Me” Promotion, conducted by Johnson & Johnson South Africa (Pty) Ltd ("the Promoter").
Entry via SMS will serve as acceptance by the participant of all the related terms and conditions.
Entry to the competition is through the purchase of any Clean & Clear products, and the submission of the word ‘C&C’ (no spaces), followed by a space and 1 word that best describes you, and a space plus the last 4 digits of your Clean & Clear barcode to 33729. For example: C&C Fresh 1234. SMSes charged at R1.50 per SMS. Free SMSes do not apply.
Winners will be required to provide their original till slip for their purchase dated before or on their entry date as proof of purchase for the qualifying Clean & Clear product upon receiving a phone call to announce that they are a winner. Should the winner not be able to provide a copy of the slip to the Promoter on request, they will be disqualified. Please note that no other Johnson & Johnson products are eligible for this Promotion, other than those products mentioned above.
All South Africans, other than directors, members, partners or agents of, or consultants to the Promoter, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or the Promoter’s suppliers, merchandisers, advertising, promotional and PR agencies and all their immediate families, are allowed to enter this promotion.
Persons under the age of 18 may enter the competition but parent/guardian permission will be required.
Multiple entries will be permitted, subject to each entry being submitted separately (for separate purchases) and in accordance with entry requirements. Repeat shopping spree winners are not allowed for this competition and after a winner is drawn, the number and winner will not be eligible for further shopping spree prizes in this competition.
The Promoter will not be responsible for any non-delivery of entries.
The competition runs from 1 October 2015 until 31 December 2015. No entries received after midnight on the 31st of December 2015 will be accepted.
Prizes: 3 x R1 000 shopping spree vouchers (one per month), plus 5 weekly airtime wins of R10 or R20 per winner.

Airtime vouchers are automatically allocated based on random draws. Repeat winners are capped at a maximum of one (1) win per entrant or cellular number per week. Each winner will receive an airtime voucher on their phone which they may redeem. The Promoter will not be responsible for any lost or misused vouchers or airtime once the winner has received their airtime voucher pin. Airtime vouchers may only be used by prepaid customers - contract users are unable to load airtime onto their phones.
The shopping spree voucher winners will be chosen from a random draw of entries and contacted via telephone (using the cell phone number used to enter the competition). Winners will be announced within 7 days of the draw date. Draws to take place monthly, with 1 winner per month drawn.
The prize cannot be sold or transferred to any person other than the winner.
The prize is non-transferable for cash.
The winner will accept the prize as is, at their own risk. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with something else of the same value.
The Promoter will adhere to the minimum standards of record keeping as prescribed by the CPA; to the extent allowed in Law, reserve the right to terminate this Competition immediately and without notice; accept no responsibility for any tax commitments arising from the acceptance of a Prize/s and independent financial advice should be sought for such purpose; not be held responsible for any unforeseen costs with regard to the acceptance of a Prize/s besides that which is stipulated in the Competition; to the extent allowed in Law, not guarantee, warrant or make any representations whatsoever regarding the quality of the Prize/s.
The Participant will indemnify and hold the Promoter harmless in respect of any failure by it to comply with the Terms and Conditions; in the event of the Participant being a Winner, use the Prize/s entirely at its own risk and will indemnify and hold the Promoter harmless for any accident, injury, harm, death, damages, costs and/or loss sustained by a Participant as a result of the possession or use of Prize/s won in the Competition; for any loss, damage, harm or injury which the prize winners may sustain as a result of any claim which may be made against it by any third party, whilst participating in this promotional competition.
The Promoter may refuse to award any prize to a Participant if there is suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
Neither the Promoter nor its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, suppliers or distributors will have any liability in relation to this promotion.
If the Promoter is required by any legislation, the Minister of Trade and Industry, or the National Lotteries to alter any aspect of the competition or to terminate competition as a result of changes in legislation, the Promoter will have the right to terminate this competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination. In such event all participants hereby waive any rights which they may have against the Promoter and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, suppliers, contractors and/or sponsors.
The Promoter shall not be liable if they are unable to contact the winning cellphone number within 48 hours of being drawn for any reason whatsoever. The Promoter may in its sole discretion decree that the participant whose cellphone number has been drawn but who is not contactable should forfeit the prize and the Promoter shall then draw a new cellphone number from the eligible entries.
The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to confirm eligibility and help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter or any of the Promoter’s brands into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavorably on the Promotion as determined by Promoter in its sole discretion.
At the Promoter's request, winners will have the option of participating in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in promotional material or in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. However, the winner has the right to decline an invitation to participate in any promotional activity or to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter.
The Promoter may with the approval of the winner collect, store and use (not share) personal information of entrants for communication or statistical purposes with the permission of the winner.
The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter will at its own discretion, be able to amend the rules to the competition at any time during the duration of the competition.
